The New Kendi Encyclical

The Church of KendiAngeloism has just issued a new encyclical. Since it is the proclaimed duty of all liberals to follow these issuances in order to maintain their position in the church, I, of course, read it.

Here’s my summation of the Words of Kendi:

Guilt by association, Association Fallacy (Wikipedia):

Group A makes a particular claim.

Group B, which is currently viewed negatively by some, makes the same claim as Group A.

Therefore, Group A is viewed as associated with Group B, and is now also viewed negatively.

Robert Whitaker, Anders Brevik, Dylan Roof, “Lifelong Klansman” Senator Thodore Bilbo, and a whole collection of racist bigots, like the Proud Boys, recites the “Mantra” — “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white”

This is “Group B.”

Introduce Straw Man argument(Wikipedia):

Person 1 asserts proposition X.

Person 2 argues against a superficially similar proposition Y, falsely, as if an argument against Y were an argument against X.

This reasoning is a fallacy of relevance: it fails to address the proposition in question by misrepresenting the opposing position.

For example:

Quoting an opponent’s words out of context — i.e, choosing quotations that misrepresent the opponent’s intentions (see fallacy of quoting out of context).[3]

Oversimplifying an opponent’s argument, then attacking this oversimplified version.

Exaggerating (sometimes grossly exaggerating) an opponent’s argument, then attacking this exaggerated version.

Then back to the Association Fallacy and claim that “Group A;” namely well meaning liberals who have much more nuanced positions on the current Culture Wars than the Straw Man exaggerated simplifications cited and who reasonably object to mean-spirited insults like this (White Fragility):

a positive white identity is an impossible goal. White identity is inherently racist; white people do not exist outside the system of white supremacy.

And reduce these objections to being no different than the Group B slogan, “Anti-racist is anti-white” and…

Voila!

The only acceptable position for a liberal is to enthusiastically suspend their critical thinking and embrace Kendi’s view of the world as Truth. Otherwise they are racist bigots like “Group B.”

Note the hyperbolic binary simplification in the following:

If white people are not worshipped in schools, then they will be demonized; if white people don’t reign supreme, then they will be subjugated; if white people don’t hoard resources and opportunities, then they will be starved; if white people cannot kill at will, then they will be killed at will. White violence is presumed to be self-defense. Defending yourself against a white supremacist is presumed to be a criminal act. (Kendi)

If a liberal objects to assaults upon their inherent worth and dignity as a human being using nuanced and well-considered positions , they are expecting to be “worshipped in schools” and to “reign supreme” and to be able to “kill at will.”

Tiresome bs.
